Leather goods production phases

From the project to the finished product

The production of leather goods is an art that combines tradition, craftsmanship and innovation. Each piece made in our leather goods factory is the result of a meticulous process, which begins with the choice of materials and ends with the delivery of the finished product. On this page, we will guide you through the production phases of leather goods, illustrating the fundamental steps and materials used to create unique and personalized items.

The importance of accurate planning

Phase 1: Project Analysis
the basis of every success

Every project begins with a careful analysis of the customer’s needs. This preliminary phase is essential to define the technical and organizational details of production, minimizing risks and critical issues.

Key elements of the analysis

  • Quantity of products to be produced: establish the production volume to optimize time and resources.
  • Models and variants: identify the specifications of the requested models and any variants.
  • Materials and accessories: select high-quality leathers, fabrics and components.
  • Timings: define deadlines and delivery dates to meet the customer’s expectations.
  • Budget: plan costs to ensure the economic sustainability of the project.

An accurate planning allows you to optimize time and costs, ensuring that each subsequent phase runs smoothly. By working with us, you can count on an expert team that will guide you in choosing materials, defining timing and managing the budget.

During this phase, our team works closely with the customer to find innovative and customized solutions, ensuring that the project starts with a solid foundation.

From design to sample

Phase 2: Product Development

Once the preliminary analysis is complete, the project moves to the development phase, which includes design, pattern making, prototyping and sample making. This is where all the technical and stylistic specifications of the product are defined.

Main development phases

  • Design: the process begins with the creation of a drawing that reflects the aesthetic and functional requests of the customer.
  • Pattern: from the drawing we move on to the creation of the pattern, a phase in which tradition and technology merge. Our craftsmen use manual techniques and digital tools to create perfect models, ready for prototyping.
  • Prototype: the prototype is the first physical incarnation of the product. It is created to evaluate structure, proportions and details. This phase is essential to identify any necessary changes before production.
  • Sample: After any changes, we develop a complete sample using the final materials and accessories. This is the moment in which the design comes to life, ready to be approved and sent to production.

Each step is carried out with care to ensure that the final product meets expectations in terms of quality and design.

Customizations and details

Phase 3: Processing of materials

  • Leather cutting and preparation: the leather is cut cleanly, split (to reduce its thickness) and stripped (to thin the edges). These operations require precision and experience to avoid waste and ensure optimal processing.
  • High definition prints on leather: one of our specialties is high definition prints on leather. After receiving the high resolution graphic file, we create a digital mockup to check the final result. The graphics are then printed on the leather, ensuring excellent color rendering and durability over time.
  • Logo engraving: we offer a logo customization service through engraving. Once we have received the vector or PDF file of the logo, we create a brass punch of the desired size. This allows the logo to be printed on leather with hot or impression techniques, using colors such as gold, silver or bronze.
  • Processing of other materials: in addition to leather, we also work with standard fabrics and wallpaper. These materials can be paired with leather to create unique and refined combinations, amplifying the creative possibilities of our customers.

From development to finished product

Phase 4: Production

Once the samples are approved, the project enters the production phase. Each product is made entirely in-house, ensuring total control over all stages of the process.

  • Quality control: quality control is a crucial aspect of our work. We carry out continuous checks on incoming materials and finished products, ensuring that each item meets our high standards.
Monitoring of production phases: during production, the customer is constantly updated through reports that document the progress of the work.
  • Packaging and shipping: the last phase is dedicated to packaging and shipping. We use high-quality protective materials to ensure that the products arrive intact anywhere in the world. In addition, we offer fast and traceable shipping options.
